Aldeen Golf Course, Rockford Illinois

The Aldeen golf course project allowed us to showcase our abilities both with large boulder construction and to complete a challenging project with a challenging time frame.  This project was to replace the aging timbers that were retaining the "Island Green" at Aldeen Golf Course.  This project had many challenges associated with it.  The first challenge was to lower the water level of the pond around the work area.  We then had to pull and cut the timbers and replace them with large granite boulders.  These boulders were set on a compacted stone base and reinforced from behind with concrete.  All this work had to be done without damaging the green!  We repaired all disturbed areas with sod and our job was done!
